Chairman Jay Fisette of the NVTC, Chairman Michael May of the PRTC and Chairman Marty Nohe of the NVTA and the NVRC have scheduled a meeting on Wednesday, May 2 at 6:00pm at the Northern Virginia Regional Commission located at 3060 Williams Drive, Fairfax, Virginia  22031

Purpose: To begin a discussion about a proposal to consolidate two or more of the various regional, intergovernmental agencies that represent the jurisdictions of Northern Virginia into a single entity.  

Additionally, there has been discussion of creating a new Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) that would encompass all of what is traditionally defined as Northern Virginia, as well as areas beyond Planning District 8 and to establish a process by which the conversation and subsequent recommendations will unfold over the coming months
